Welcome to Southlake

Southlake is a city in northeastern Tarrant and southern Denton Counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is a suburb in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and is located near the cities of Grapevine, Colleyville, and Keller. The population was 21,519 at the 2000 census. Southlake is well known for its Southlake Town Square project, a shopping center located on State Highway 114 and Southlake Boulevard. A plan was approved in March 2005 that allowed the Town Square's area to be doubled. Sabre Holdings, an S&P 500 company and owner of Travelocity, is headquartered in Southlake. Industrial businesses include gasoline storage and distribution and concrete works. The City of Southlake is comprised of more than 675 total park acres, 45 practice and game fields, 15 lighted tennis courts, lighted inline hockey facility, 6 miles of park trails, six concession and/or restroom facilities, five ponds with aeration features and 11 pavilions. The City of Southlake also offers free wireless Internet connections in the Southlake Public Library, Town Square, the Southlake Sports complex, Bicentennial Park and Bob Jones Park.
